Damage estimated at more than $185K after 'suspicious' fire at Fifty Point Marina

Crews were called to the marina at 4:18 a.m. and found five boats on fire, according to the Hamilton Fire Department.

Damage is estimated at more than $185,000 following a fire at Fifty Point Marina that officials say is suspicious.

Crews were called to the marina at 4:18 a.m. and found five boats on fire, according to the Hamilton Fire Department.

An "aggressive attack" brought the flames under control, the department said in an email to CBC.

"As the fire was deemed suspicious, the Fire Marshal's Office was contacted to investigate," the email reads. 

The department says a preliminary estimate puts damage at over $185,000 and no civilians or firefighters were injured.
