Man dead after hit and run in Niagara Falls, police investigate

A 52-year-old man is dead after losing control of an e-bike and being struck by a vehicle in Niagara Falls Thursday night.

A 52-year-old man, who was riding an e-bike in Niagara Falls, is the victim of a fatal hit and run Thursday night, say police. 

Niagara Regional Police officers arrived on scene at Drummond Road and Dunn Street after receiving reports of a collision. An investigation revealed the man was riding an e-bike when he lost control, was thrown from the bike and struck by a southbound vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle didn't stop and left the scene. The man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The incident is under investigation by detectives from Niagara Regional Police Service's collision reconstruction unit. 

Anyone with video cameras facing Drummond Road in the area of the collision are asked to review their footage and contact police with any information. Police can be contacted at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, badge number 9265.
