Three people were arrested and charged for drug trafficking in Stoney Creek, police say, following an investigation that netted thousands of dollars worth of cocaine.

The vice and drug unit and the gangs and guns unit arrested a 36-year-old man on Oct. 1 for allegedly trafficking cocaine near Arvin Avenue.

That same day, police searched a house near Macintosh Drive, where they found and arrested a 35-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman, according to a media release.

Police also seized approximately $3,000-worth of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.

The arrests follow a vice and drugs unit investigation that started back in early September.
