1 cyclist killed, another injured following crash in Hamilton
OPP say 1 cyclist died on the scene, another suffered life-threatening injuries
One cyclist is dead and another suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck from behind by a vehicle in Hamilton Sunday morning, OPP said.
Police say the cyclists were riding eastbound on Highway 5, just west of Sydenham Road in Flamborough, when the collision occurred around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Two men, each around 45 years old, were struck from behind by a car. One died at the scene and the other was taken to hospital.
Police expect the highway to remain closed until 4 p.m. between Millgrove Side Road and Ofield Road in both directions.
