2 Hamilton men facing charges after investigations into child pornography
Police say they're 'dedicated to investigating and holding offenders accountable'
Two Hamilton men are facing charges following separate investigations into child pornography, police say.
Members of the Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit searched two homes in October following unrelated investigations, and say they've arrested a 57-year-old and a 39-year-old.
The older man is charged with distributing child pornography, two counts of making child pornography available and three counts of possession of child pornography.
The 39-year-old is charged with distributing child pornography and making it available, and two counts of possession of child pornography.
Police say they've seized devices for storing digital media and are carrying out a forensic examination that may lead to more charges.
"The Hamilton Police Service ICE Unit remains dedicated to investigating and holding offenders accountable for internet-based child exploitative offences, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic," says a media release from the service.
