Two 28-year-old men face drug charges after Hamilton police say they responded to a weapons call Monday evening.

At roughly 8:30 pm., officers say they responded to reports of weapons near a business around Fennell Avenue East and E 26th Street on the mountain in East Hamilton.

Police say witnesses told them a man was in the passenger seat of a red Sedan, sticking a Z Hunter Machete out of the window.

Officers claim to have seen the driver with drugs and the machete on the floor near the passenger seat.

Police say they found more drugs and also found cash, which prompted them to arrest the men without incident. Cocaine, meth, hydromorphone and oxycodone were some of the drugs officers say they found.

The 28-year-old Hamilton man and another man of the same age with no fixed address are expected to attend court Tuesday.
