Man hospitalized with serious injuries following 'targeted' shooting in central Hamilton
Investigators looking for a black 4-door vehicle and one male suspect, police say
A 23-year-old man has been hospitalized following what police believe was a targeted shooting in central Hamilton.
Officers were called to the area of Barton Street East and Oak Avenue around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday following reports of a shooting.
A man was found with gunshot wounds and transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. His condition is currently serious but stable, according to a media release.
The major crime unit is investigating.
Detectives are asking residents and businesses in the area to check any surveillance video they may have for information that could help with their investigation.
