Hamilton's Argylls pipe band joins Paul McCartney at sold out show
Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders play 'Mull of Kintyre' with former Beatle
International music legend Paul McCartney wowed fans during his first ever Hamilton show Thursday night — and he made sure to share the stage with some of the city's best.
The former Beatle brought the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders on stage with him last night at FirstOntario Centre to back him up on the Wings classic Mull of Kintyre.
The dulcet tones of the local regiment's pipe band filled out McCartney's stripped down, four piece band, adding a sense of expansive space to the 1977 tune about the Scottish Headland where McCartney owns a farm.
Vancouver is the only other city on the tour where Sir Paul has played the track, so consider yourselves lucky, Canada.
