Girl, 14, in hospital after being struck by TTC bus

A 14-year-old girl is in hospital with serious head injuries after being struck Tuesday evening by a TTC bus, say police.

She was crossing an intersection on a bicycle when a TTC bus hit her.

The accident took place near Kingston Road and Lawrence Avenue East in the city's east end.

It is unclear if she had the right of way or if she was wearing headphones.

An ambulance transported her to hospital around 9 p.m. ET.
