Ford brings new jobs to Edmonton

Ford Canada will be opening it's new national credit service centre in the west end by November 1.

Bobbi Gaunt, the president of the car company says they will be hiring 250 new employees.

An incentive at Ford Canada is a free computer. Ford will give all of it's workers a computer, color printer and internet connection.

Gaunt says that's because e-commerce is the future.

"We want to improve our employees knowledge and skill in terms of technology that is changing all of our lives forever," said Gaunt

Ford Credit says it is looking for all kinds of skills everything from clerical to management.

Ford Credit is one of the largest finance companies in Canada granting loans and mortgages to consumers and Ford retailers.
