Police have man in custody
A woman whose body was found Wednesday after a west Edmonton house fire was the victim of homicide, police confirmed Thursday.
Genevieve Lucienne Auger, 32, was named following an autopsy by the medical examiner. Police are not releasing the cause of death but have determined that she was killed.
A man is in custody and police say they aren’t looking for other suspects.
Firefighters were called out to a single-family bungalow at 173rd Street and 77th Avenue just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.
The fire was brought under control about an hour and a half later.
