Two men arrested in southwest Edmonton shooting
Edmonton police charged two men in a shooting Tuesday night at an apartment building in southwest Edmonton.
The two men, aged 23 and 27, were arrested in Sherwood Park on Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault, robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, forcible confinement as well as various firearm charges.
Police went to the apartment in the Royal Gardens community at 114th Street and 41st Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after a call about an injured man.
Two men were seen running from the building while a third was reported to be armed and still in the suite.
Police attempted to make contact with the suite for several hours without success.
Tactical officers entered the suite shortly after 1 a.m., but the suspect was not located.
The 31-year-old victim remains in stable condition with a wound to his thigh.
