Three men are facing charges after a stolen pickup truck rammed an RCMP police cruiser just before midnight Monday in Stettler, Alta.

Police were called about a suspicious vehicle in an industrial park.  

The first car on scene approached the truck with lights flashing, but the truck took off. 

When a second police vehicle showed up, the truck turned towards it and rammed the corner of the front passenger side, causing extensive damage, police said.

The truck continued to accelerate, pushing the police vehicle another three metres.

The officer in the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries, examined and released.

The three men in the stolen truck, a 28-year-old from Trochu, Alta., a 33-year-old from Vancouver Island and the 20-year-old driver, were arrested.   

Charges include possession of stolen property and possession of crystal meth, with more charges pending.
