Stabbing leaves woman, 42, dead and man facing murder charges

A 42-year-old woman is dead after she was stabbed in north Edmonton late Friday night. 

Police were called to a home near 119th Avenue and 56th Street just after 11 p.m. where they found the woman suffering numerous stab wounds.

She was taken to hospital, but died shortly after. 

A 38-year-old Edmonton man is facing murder charges and remains in custody.
