Pedestrian, 22, in critical condition after car ran through crosswalk

A 22-year-old woman is in critical condition after a car ran down two people in a marked crosswalk in east Edmonton.

A 22-year-old woman is in critical condition after a car ran down two people in a marked crosswalk in east Edmonton.

The woman and a 27-year-old man were crossing 98th Avenue, east of Terrace Road, at 7:50 p.m. Monday.

The 22-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries, while the man sustained less serious injuries. 

Neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision, say police.
