Parents accused of starving daughters seek bail
An Edmonton couple accused of starving their two-year-old twin daughters will remain behind bars for at least another ten days.
The mother and father — who cannot be identified — appeared before a judge in Edmonton on Tuesday hoping to get bail.
They face two counts each of aggravated assault, criminal negligence causing bodily harm, and failing to provide the necessities of life.
The judge will hand down her decision on July 6th. A publication ban prohibits the media from reporting on what was said in court.
The two little girls remain in hospital, while a three-year old boy is in good physical health.
All three children have been made wards of the province of Alberta.
