Man injured in motorcycle crash in Strathcona County
Alcohol not believed to be a factor in crash
A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries Monday after his motorcycle hit a car in Strathcona County.
Police say the car was travelling north on Range Road 225 through the intersection at Wye Road when it was struck on the driver's side by an eastbound motorcycle.
The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital in Edmonton. The driver and passenger in the car were not hurt.
RCMP say alcohol doesn't appear to have been a factor.
The eastbound lanes of Wye Road between Range Road 224 and Highway 21 were closed for the investigation and were not expected to reopen until early afternoon.
