Because damage to the suite was extensive, the police arson detectives and a forensic identification team were dispatched as a precautionary measure.

After an autopsy Wednesday, the medical examiner determined the man died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Police don't know know the man's identity. They have released information in an effort to further the investigation and notify family.

The dead man was Caucasian, taller than five-foot-eight, and was wearing True Religion jeans, a black leather jacket, Nike running shoes, and a watch. Police released a photograph of the ring the man was wearing.
