Heavy rainfall causes Lacombe flooding

Police in the central Alberta city of Lacombe advised motorists Monday to avoid the area if possible.

Heavy rainfall has caused a number of roads to be flooded by about two to three feet of water.  

Some motorists are stranded.

Police are asking people not to drive through the water.

Lacombe is about 120 kilometres south of Edmonton.
