Five children in hospital after 'unknown' spill in Fort McMurray apartment

Five children were taken to hospital Sunday following a spill involving an unknown substance in a Fort McMurray apartment building.

The fire department received a call about the possible spill in the Fraser Avenue apartment building Sunday afternoon.

One floor of the building was evacuated with the help of the RCMP at around 3:00 p.m..

The children were said to have been suffering effects from the spill and were taken for treatment. Police said their condition is not known at this time.

The incident is still under investigation and police have not released more information about what happened.
