Fatal shooting has police searching for 'person of interest'
Edmonton police are investigating a fatal shooting on the south side Tuesday night.
Officers got a call about shots being fired in the area of 68th Avenue and 93rd Street, just before 8p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man dead inside a car that was pulled over on the side of a residential street.
Police say a suspect, believed to be on a bike, fled toward the Mill Creek Ravine.Officers are still interviewing witnesses.
Neighbour Norma Hartley said she saw a teenager waiting around a nearby house before shots were fired.
"I was just coming home from the store and I noticed somebody,this young kid, teenager, just sitting there on a bike."
Police are calling the teen a "person of interest" in the homicide. Investigators say the shooting does not appear to be a random incident.
