Endangered monkey arrives at Edmonton Valley Zoo

The Edmonton Valley Zoo is now home to two golden lion tamarins, a type of monkey that is from the Atlantic coastal forests of Brazil.

The golden lion tamarin is considered an endangered species and is known for its impressive tawny coloured mane.

In the wild, golden lion tamarins live mostly in the trees, foraging during the day by swinging from branch to branch eating insects, fruit, lizards and birds.
