An Edmonton man's idea for a homegrown chip flavour has made him a finalist in a contest 2:11

An Edmonton man has made it to the finals of the Lay’s ‘Do Us a Flavour’ contest.

Lucas Crawford is one of four finalists to compete for the best tasting new chip flavour. His entry, "Perogy Platter", will go head to head with Grilled Cheese and Ketchup (from Ottawa), Creamy Garlic Caesar (from Vancouver) and Maple Moose (from Newfoundland).

"I think my chances are good. Especially if Edmontonians feel their civic pride and get to the computers and vote, get to their phones and vote," said Crawford. "I'm feeling hopeful."

All four finalist flavours are now available in stores.
