Edmonton's arts community rallies around Roxy Theatre

Fond memories and offers of help poured in on social media in the hours after Edmonton's historic Roxy Theatre went up in flames.

Smoke alarms went off at the historic Roxy Theatre just before 4 a.m. on TuesdayWhen firefighters arrived minutes later, the building was already in flames.

News of the fire spread quickly throughout Edmonton's tight-knit theatre community, with many offering help and planning fundraisers to rebuild even while firefighters worked to put out the flames.
