Pedestrian dies after being struck crossing 107th Avenue

A 52-year-old man died in hospital Monday after he was struck while crossing 107th Avenue in a crosswalk.

A 52-year-old man died in hospital Monday after he was struck while crossing 107th Avenue in a crosswalk.

The man was hit by a westbound Jeep Wrangler while crossing at 130th Street in a marked crosswalk at 7:30 a.m. Monday.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance, but died of his injuries, police said in a release Monday afternoon.

The 54-year-old male driver of the Jeep was not hurt.

Officers closed the westbound lanes of 107th Avenue at 127th Street for several hours while investigating.
