Students of Edmonton Public School Board's Enriched Music Program will take their final bow this year.
50-year-old program helped students excel in music studies
Students of Edmonton Public School Board's Enriched Music Program are preparing to take their final bow.
After 50 years, the board is cutting the program, which allowed students to excel in music studies outside of their regular school timetable.
Last year about 660 students in Grades 3 to 12 participated in the course.
As Laura Osman explains in the video, the $220,000 program fell victim to the school board's $53-million budget shortfall.
