Edmonton autobody shop explosion kills one, injures another
One man is dead and another is injured after an explosion at an autobody shop in south Edmonton.
Alberta Occupational Health and Safety officials are investigating the incident that took place at 4 Wheel Collision-Frame on Saturday.
Two men were welding the rim of a wheel on a dump truck when a tire blew up, said Health and Safety spokesperson Fiona Wiseman.
A 53-year-old worker was killed and the 54-year-old shop owner was injured.
A stop-work order has been issued and Wiseman said other orders may be pending.
