At 17, Semenko snuck into the Coliseum with "no idea that three years later I’d be playing on that ice." Ten years later, he won a Stanley Cup on that same rink. He shares the story with CBC's Mark Connolly and Min Dhariwal.

The former on-ice enforcer Dave Semenko shed his usual tough guy persona to share a few laughs with CBC Edmonton's veteran sportscasters Mark Connolly and Min Dhariwal.

Semenko reminisced about seeing the Coliseum for the first time as a junior player, sneaking back in to the empty arena later on to sit quietly in the nosebleeds.

"No idea that three years later I'd be playing on that ice," he said with a laugh.

Ten years later, he would also win his first Stanley Cup on the same rink.
