Another year of fabulous food, culture and fun is in the books. To say that we had a blast at Heritage Festival this year would be a huge understatement.

This year, we asked Edmontonians to cast their ballots and vote in the first-ever People's Choice Award at the festival. The categories were:

  • Most savoury meat on a stick
  • Best vegetarian dish
  • Most delicious beverage
  • Tastiest dessert

More than 300 people cast their vote for their favourite dishes. On the last day of the festival Mark Connolly and Tara McCarthy announced the winners. Pakistan swept the first three categories by a landslide! Their kebab, veggie samosa and mango shake were the clear winners in their respective categories. The winner for tastiest dessert went to Croatia for their elephant ears.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by our tent over the weekend to chat with our ambassadors.
