Two people escaped serious injury when a helicopter crashed Tuesday morning north of Fort St. John, B.C.
The helicopter, owned by a Grande Prairie company, crashed around 11 a.m. when the rotor clipped a tree in the Chinchaga River area about 120 kilometres north of Fort St. John.
Although a medic at the scene found that the pilot and passenger were not seriously injured, they were flown to hospital in Manning, Alta. as a precaution. They were later released.
The crash is now under investigation by the Transportation Safety Board.
