6 more students cheated on math exam
Six more students have been caught cheating on a Pure Math 30 diploma exam Edmonton students wrote last month, bringing the total to nine.
"The nine students are confirmed as being from Edmonton," said Zoe Cooper, who speaks for Alberta Education. "That's all we can confirm. We're investigating several additional cases that may be linked."
The Pure Math 30 exam, written by senior high school students across Alberta, is worth about half the final mark for the course.
Students caught cheating could be forced to wait for one school year before they can write another math diploma exam, effectively delaying graduation.
