$1 million winning lottery ticket set to expire
Winning Lotto Max ticket sold in Edmonton remains unclaimed
An unclaimed $1 million lottery ticket purchased in Edmonton one year ago is set to expire.
Officials with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation say the Lotto Max ticket will expire June 29.
The ticket was purchased here in the city and remains valid for one year. After that the prize is gone for good, which doesn't happen often, say officials.
The largest unclaimed prize on the Prairies and Territories was $14.9 million on a ticket bought in Alberta in 2006.
