Police say assault took place at Eighth Avenue and 36 Street S.E.
Calgary police are looking for a suspect in an alleged sexual assault that took place early Saturday morning.
They say a woman called them around 4 a.m. MT Saturday to report a man had attacked her at a small park near Eighth Avenue and 36 Street S.E. She had been walking along 17th Avenue S.E. and 31st Street S.E. when a man driving a beige Ford Mercury-type car pulled up alongside her.
The man spoke to the woman and then pulled her into his vehicle before driving to the small park where he allegedly assaulted her.
The woman told police she did not know her attacker.
The suspect is described as having a dark complexion, roughly 30-years-old, and stands around five feet, six inches tall. He has a thin build and short, curly "afro-" style hair.
He was wearing plaid shorts and a light-coloured t-shirt.
The sex crimes unit is now investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
