WestJet flight lands safely after scare

A WestJet plane lands safely in Calgary after the fire department dispatched trucks, ambulances and a mass casualty unit as a precaution.

A WestJet flight had a tense landing at the Calgary International Airport on Friday morning but everyone aboard is safe.

The plane with several dozen people on board rolled to a stop at about 9:45 a.m. MT on the tarmac.

Emergency and fire officials were waiting as a "precaution" after the pilot radioed that there was a mechanical problem.

Fire trucks, ambulances and a mass casualty unit were dispatched in case the plane crashed on landing.
