A third suspect has been charged in connection with the death earlier this year of Tyler Sanderson.

Police believe the Calgary man was killed during a drug deal gone wrong.

Officers were called to the 5500 block of Maddock Dr. N.E. about 9:15 p.m. on May 15 where they found Sanderson suffering serious injuries from an apparent assault. He later died in hospital.

Investigators believe Sanderson made his way home after he was assaulted and then collapsed in his yard, where he was found by family members.

On Sept. 23 Justin Cecil Scott, 31, of Calgary, was charged with second-degree murder. He is set to appear in court on Oct. 11.

Lori Ann Heavenfire, 34, was the first suspect to be charged with second-degree murder in July.

Dylan Irvin George Calf, 24, was also charged with second-degree murder last month.
