Teen hurt performing stunt on motor bike
A 16-year-old boy is in hospital in critical condition after crashing while attempting to do stunts on his dirt bike.
The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. Monday on Highway 541, west of Longview in southern Alberta.
RCMP Const. Jason Wells says the teenager from the town of Vulcan was "stunting" on his dirt bike.
"[He] ended up striking a parked vehicle. Hit the car. As a result he flew over the car and landed on the pavement. He was not wearing a helmet at the time. STARS air ambulance was used to fly him to the Foothills hospital in Calgary."
RCMP don't believe alcohol was a factor. The teen has life threatening injuries.
