A pickup truck collided with semi on Sunday morning, killing 39-year-old

A Taber resident is dead following a fiery crash on Highway 36, 1.5 kilometres from the town.
The accident occurred around 8 a.m. on Sunday when a northbound pickup truck collided with a southbound semi.
The 39-year-old driver of the pickup was killed in the collision, while the driver of the semi was airlifted to a Calgary hospital.
Police have not shared the identity or gender of the victim.
Burnt debris littered the roadway Sunday and scorched earth spread out from the pavement into the surrounding ditch.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
