Calgary police are asking for public assistance to locate several pieces of jewelry stolen from an elderly woman’s house last week.

The heirloom jewelry — which includes a watch, pendant and two brooches — dates back to 19th-century Russia.

The items were taken during a break-in at a house on Woodvale Crescent S.W. on Feb. 13.

The jewelry has significant monetary value but its sentimental value is priceless, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
