Severe cold weather causing flight delays at airport

The freezing weather is impacting flights to and from the Calgary International Airport.

WestJet is reminding all passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Westjet had already had eight flight delays.

The airline is also offering flexible cancellation and flight changes due to the severe weather.

YYC spokesperson Jody Mosely suggests leaving extra time before heading to the airport as well.
