Several months ago, John Gilchrist gave a less-than-favourable review to Calgary's first IHOP.

In search of a good pancake, he went to Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus at 2439 54th Avenue S.W. where they serve 45 different varieties of Dutch pancakes.

Evenly split between sweet and savoury, these pancakes are more similar to a crepe than the traditional flapjacks that many Calgarians know from the Stampede and come full of everything from apple or pineapple to bacon or even seafood.

With so many options, there's something on the menu to suit even the pickiest eater's tastes.
