Outdoor Shakespeare returns to Prince's Island
Shakespeare on the Bow back after being flooded out in 2013
The words of the immortal bard will be heard on Prince's Island once again this summer.
Shakespeare in the Park has been renamed Shakespeare on the Bow this season. It is a joint presentation of Theatre Calgary and Mount Royal University.
The two organizations first teamed up to present A Midsummer Night's Dream in the open air two years ago. Last year's production of Romeo and Juliet was forced to move to the MRU campus because of flooding.
The production features young actors, many of them recent graduates of Mount Royal's now cancelled theatre program.
The Comedy of Errors by Shakespeare on the Bow is directed by Glynis Leyshon and will be presented from June 25 to August 9 in Prince's Island park.
Admission is pay-what-you-will, there are no tickets required.
