German airline Lufthansa is cutting its direct flights between Calgary and Frankfurt.

German airline Lufthansa is cutting its direct flights between Calgary and Frankfurt.

The four weekly non-stop flights will end Feb. 4.

"The most important thing that we're focused on is looking at making sure that we have the connections and the seats available to passengers, and we definitely have that still," said Jody Moseley with the Calgary Airport Authority.

Air Canada will bring in a bigger jet for its flights to Frankfurt to help offset the loss. The airline flies from Calgary to Frankfurt seven times a week.
