Toddler falls from 2nd storey of Airdrie home
Child taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
It could have ended very differently.
A toddler was transported to the Alberta Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after falling from the second-storey window of an Airdrie home, paramedics said in a release.
EMS responded to the call at about 4:30 p.m. MT.
The child somehow got through a window screen, EMS said, falling about five metres and hitting the concrete below.
Experts remind parents there are safety steps that can reduce the chance of this type of incident happening with children.
