The 23rd Annual Immigrants of Distinction Awards

A celebration of our city’s outstanding immigrants and refugees

The Immigrant of Distinction Awards recognize inspirational immigrants and refugees in our nation's ever-expanding mosaic of ethnicities, languages, cultures and talents that have come together to create a strong and prosperous Canada. The 23rd annual event will take place on Friday, Mar.15 at the Bella Concert Hall at Mount Royal University and will be followed by a networking reception and silent auction. More than 500 guests will be in attendance, including prominent business leaders, high-ranking officials from all three levels of Canadian government, international representatives of government, immigrant and refugee communities and civic-minded Calgarians. The theme for this awards presentation is 'Immigration - Building Canada's Prosperity'. Join CBC Calgary's Doug Dirks at the Immigrants of Distinction Awards on Friday, March 15 for an evening inspiration while celebrating the accomplishments of local immigrants and refugees who are making Calgary a great place to live.
