Insp. Ken Thrower is asking everyone attending the events to think about how they will get in and out of the area before they arrive.

"There's going to be a lot of traffic — a lot of pedestrians, a lot of vehicles — mainly in the downtown," he said.

"Everywhere there's going to be a lot of festivities, so it's important to really plan ahead."

Parking will be limited, he added, advising motorists to be careful where they leave their vehicles or to use other transportation options.

"Make sure you park where you're supposed to park — you don't want get your car towed after having a great day, " Thrower said.

"I would be taking public transit. Or park a little ways away and enjoy the nice weather and walk."
