Calgary Transit has posted a survey online to help it determine what the interior layout of the new C-Train cars should be.

"There are several aspects to deciding on which C-Trains we would purchase. In terms of safety, ease of access, maintenance, durability and obviously customer comfort is one of those aspects," said Calgary Transit spokesman Stephen Tauro.

Leslie Shopik, a frequent C-Train rider, said she'd prefer more standing room, especially during rush hour.

"When there's just a little row of seating along the sides,  I understand for like pregnant ladies and, you know, like handicapped people and elderly ... that it's important. But it's more important to have the standing room," she said.

Calgary Transit plans to buy the additional cars later this year or early next year.

The online survey is available until Friday.
