A severe thunderstorm warning has ended for Calgary.

Environment and Climate Change Canada said one thunderstorm was slowly moving over the southwest part of the city as of 6 p.m. Other storms were developing to the west, north and east of Calgary.

The thunderstorm warning ended at 8:23 p.m.

The storm brought hail, winds gusts and a heavy downpour.

A storm ripped through the Didsbury area earlier, blanketing the ground in hail and tearing leaves off trees.
