Man arrested after 67-year-old concussed in parking lot robbery in November
67-year-old victim was struck from behind and had his wallet stolen
Police have charged a suspect with robbery and other offences after a 67-year-old man was attacked from behind in the parking lot of southeast Calgary shopping complex.
The victim suffered a concussion during the Nov. 10 attack, which happened in the 3300 block of 17th Avenue S.E.
Police announced Tuesday they had made an arrest after putting out a plea to the public for information in the case.
Shawn Alvin Phillip McMillan, 37, has been charged with one count of robbery, three counts of fraud and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
The victim had his wallet stolen during the attack and his bank card was later used to make a purchase at a gas station in southwest Calgary.
Police thanked the public for their help in the case.
