Man in his early 20s dies after shooting in northeast Calgary

Calgary police are investigating after a Friday evening shooting left a man in his early 20s dead.

Police say no suspects are in custody at this time

Calgary police are investigating after a Friday evening shooting left a man in his early 20s dead.

The man was in life-threatening condition with apparent gunshot wounds when he was dropped off at the Peter Lougheed Centre shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.

He later died in hospital.

Anyone who has dashcam footage or who witnessed "suspicious activity" near 84th Street and McKnight Boulevard N.E. between 8 and 9 p.m. Friday is being asked to contact police. 

Police said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect are asked to call the police non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
