Calgary police are at the scene of a shooting that took place Wednesday night in a northwest Calgary neighbourhood.

"What we have right now is just shots fired," Sgt. Darry Midtdal with Calgary police said. "We have no victims or anything at this point, just property damage. But it's quite preliminary on what we know right now."

The shooting took place in the neighbourhood of Beddington Heights on Berkley Way N.W.

Rounds went through the walls of the property and were found inside, according to police.

Police are currently searching for a dark-coloured sedan. There are currently no descriptions of any suspects available.

"It's all really, really preliminary on this information coming in," Midtdal said.

Police are expected to remain at the crime scene to collect evidence for a number of hours.
